Plastical Artist
Esther Ferrer is known for her performances, her primary form of expression, either individually or as part of the ZAJ group (until its dissolution in 1996)
At the beginning of the 1960s she founded the first Free Expression Workshop and an experimental school in Elorrio (Vizcaya) together with Jose Antonio Sistiaga.
In the mid-1970s, she took up her artistic activities again, with photographic works, installations, and pictures based on a series of prime numbers, objects etc.
She has performed and participated in festivals in: Spain, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Denmark, Norway, England, Holland, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, the United States, Canada, Thailand, Japan, Korea, etc.
Esther Ferrer regularly exhibits her works of art. In 1999 she was one of the two artists who represented Spain in the Venetian Biennial and in 2008 she won the Premio Nacional de Artes Plásticas (National Fine Arts Award).

She has given many courses in Universities and Fine Art Schools in Spain and abroad.
