University Principal
Born in Zuera (Zaragoza, 1951) graduate (1973), and doctorate (1977), in Mathematics at the University of Zaragoza, where he taught between 1973 and 1989. He joined the Public University of Navarre in 1989 as a professor for Algebra.
He is the Director of three Doctoral Theses and author of numerous research works, some of the results of which appear in canonical texts on the subject, such as Finite Soluble Groups, by Doerk and Hawkes, and Classes of Finite Groups, by Ballester-Bolinches and Ezquerro. His areas of research include Finite Groups, Classes of Group, Primitive Groups, Group Representations and cohomology, and Codes.
He participated for two years, as member of the Comisión Nacional Evaluadora de la Actividad Investigadora (CNEAI), in the scientific filed of Mathematics and Physics, and has, since 1988, been a researcher responsible for seven subsidised research projects, five by the Ministry of Education.
At the Public University of Navarre he has taught Algebra, Advanced Calculus and Algebra, Codes and Cryptography, and Information and Coding Theory, for different qualifications at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales y de Telecomunicación.
Also at the Public University of Navarre, he has held the posts of Vice-President of Research on the Governing Commission, Head of the Mathematics and Computing Department, Vice-Rector for Research, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Entrance Test General Coordinator.
